CHICAGO NEIGHBORHOOD INITIATIVES is preparing to carry out the WOODLAWN AVENUE AND 103RD STREET INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS in CHICAGO through the use of Community Development Block Grant Funds.  In the implementation of this project the following job types may be available:

OPERATORS - JOURNEYMAN
CEMENT MASONS – JOURNEYMAN
LABORERS - JOURNEYMAN

To the greatest extent feasible, employment and training positions will be made available to qualified low - and very low-income persons who permanently reside in CHICAGO Persons qualified for the jobs listed should register at the following location in order to be given first consideration for employment:

Additionally, the following contracts and/or subcontracts may become available to qualified businesses as a result of the Project:

TRAFFIC CONTROL SUBCONTRACT
LANDSCAPING SUBCONTRACT
HAULING SUBCONTRACT

To the greatest extent feasible, businesses located in CHICAGO which currently employ or commit to employing local low- and very low-income persons will be utilized.  All above-referenced contracts will be made on a competitive basis; however, qualified businesses meeting these criteria should register at the location specified above in order to be given first consideration for contracting/subcontracting opportunities.  Names of qualified low- and very low-income job seekers will be provided to contractors.
