Whole Foods in Englewood

CNI coordinated the site preparation, entitlements and logistics for the development of Halsted Parkways,  a 13-acre, mixed use site at the corner of 63rd Street and Halsted, which will be anchored by an 18,000 square foot Whole Foods Market.

Infrastructure work across the entire 13-acre site included new roads, sewer, electrical, environmental remediation and other improvements to facilitate the retail development, as well as three adjacent land parcels. The infrastructure work was made possible by $10.7 million in Tax Increment Financing (TIF) assistance from the City of Chicago.

The development builds on new  investment in Englewood, including Kennedy-King College, the new Green Line Station and the new housing that has been built around this vital intersection.

The Whole Foods and adjacent retail will be developed by Englewood Square LP, an entity sponsored by Chicago-based DL3 Realty.  The three adjacent land parcels are attracting developer proposals and will be sold by the City of Chicago in response to market demand and community needs.
